Boutique Heritage Hotel Website
A redesign for a boutique hotel in a colonial-era building: nightly rates on a date board, a room comparison with live totals, and a shared room status board for front office and housekeeping.
01The Challenge
The hotel's website showed only tonight's rate, and a sold-out room offered no other dates. Breakfast options and the final total appeared only after guests moved to a separate booking engine.
Several pages had broken content: raw shortcodes above the package prices, an empty offers page, and a facilities button leading to a default post. Access details such as lifts, stairs, and balconies were buried in paragraphs, so guests with specific needs could not filter rooms.
02The Solution
The date form was replaced by a 14-night rate board where guests click arrival and departure directly. A rate matrix then compares each room type with and without breakfast, with totals that update as dates and guest numbers change, and filters for balcony, step-free, and wheelchair access.
Checkout sits beside a night-by-night folio. Behind it, an occupancy board lists every room across 14 days and shares its cleaning status with a phone view for housekeeping. Planned stack: Next.js, Supabase, a local payment gateway, and the WhatsApp API.
